I am a drug discovery professional who is passionate about making a difference in the quality of lives of millions of patients.

Currently serving as Head of Discovery Services Solutions- Biology at Syngene International Limited, a CRO who is advancing the cutting edge research in collaborations with major pharma, small biotech and virtual clients across the globe in integrated drug discovery (IDD) and development space. With more than 22 years industry association with renowned organizations such as Advinus, Jubliant Biosys and Ranbaxy in the past, I have extensive experience in leading discovery research groups for different therapeutic areas (Oncology, Immuno-oncology, Metabolic disorders, Autoimmune disorders, CNS, Rare diseases) and drug modalities (Small and large molecules, ADCs, Protacs, ASOs & cell therapies) and added value to internal and external collaborations. My work experience includes but is not limited to IND filing, nomination of clinical candidates, and development of novel models and platforms.

A sustained track record of meaningful drug discovery as demonstrated by more than 10 clinical candidates through internal and collaborative research including first in India in the CRO space with a large pharma. Successfully led to establish the Bioassay platform for biosimilar testing with 3 product filings with FDA and EMA. Leading the team for translational research for IO work, CAR-Ts, iPSCs and gene editing, supported by establishment of PBMC bank through hospital networks.

I am currently in-charge of In vitro assay biology, In vivo pharmacology and DMPK, leading a team of about 300+ people. My current role extends to strategic planning for targeted protein degradation (TPD) therapeutics or XTACs; compound management, and operational efficiency through automation, and resource management.

I am an author of about 20 peer-reviewed publications and patents in the fields of biology and drug discovery. I have aspirations to lead, develop and build world class research and development teams to work on novel mechanisms, and technologies delivering the differentiated solutions to collaborators and patients.
